Can I hire a SSD Attorney For Free?

When it comes to disability claimants searching for attorneys, the odds of hiring one for no cost are slim to none! Social Security Disability workers work on what we call a “contingency basis”.

This means that they will only be paid for working with you if they are to win your case, if the case is not won they do not receive any payments.

The payment they receive if your case is won is either 25% of your backpay or up to a $6,000 maximum.

Attorneys can charge you for such things such as collecting medical documents and acquiring the correct legal paperwork, so make sure to read exactly what the mutual agreement is between you and the attorney and understand if you will be charged for any fees.
