11 Oct ‘Medal of Honor’ Docuseries Coming to Netflix
A new documentary series titled ‘Medal of Honor’ is coming to Netflix this November. The series celebrates eight recipients of the Medal of Honor – the highest military decoration in the United States.
Netflix reported that the stories will be told through archival footage, recreations, and firsthand accounts by family members and fellow servicemembers of these incredible men.
Medal of Honor is executively produced by several notable individuals including Grammy, Emmy, and Oscar winner James Moll and Golden Globe and Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis.
“James Moll is a talented storyteller and we were looking for just the right project to work with him on. Medal of Honor is the ideal collaboration for us. James’ documentary skills combined with our live action techniques bring to a compelling light the important recognition of these brave individuals,” says Zemeckis. “We can not think of a better way to give back to the military community than by telling these incredibly heroic true stories.”
The first season profiles the following recipients:
Sylvester Antolak – World War II
Clint Romesha – Afghanistan
Edward Carter – World War II
Hiroshi “Hershey” Miyamura – The Korean War
Vito Bertoldo – World War II
Joseph Vittori – The Korean War
Richard L. Etchberger – Vietnam
Ty M. Carter – Afghanistan
